The Pink Singers'

The Pink Singers currently use four Yahoo! Groups (one public and three private).

Once you've joined a group, you can choose whether to receive emails as individual emails, or as daily digests. You can also choose to not receive emails, but instead to log on to the group page with a Yahoo! Groups username and password and view the emails with the web browser. This works well for people who don't have easy access to the internet, but still want to be able to join the group.

Which group should I join?

pink-singers Yahoo! Group:

This public group is for friends, fans and audience members. It allows group members to receive information via email about future Pink Singers' events.

Anyone is welcome to join this group, but only members of The Pink Singers' publicity team can post messages to the group which minimises the messages you receive.

pinkies Yahoo! Group:

This group is for all Pinkies young and old, old and new, active and dormant.

Members can send and receive emails, either to the whole group or to any individual group member by browsing the list of current members. Members can also post messages on a message board, up/download files, share photos, or even chat online. There is also a calendar which is used for keeping track of The Pink Singers' busy schedule.

pinkies-choir Yahoo! Group:

This group is for singing members only as it helps members keep in touch throughout the week.

All members of the this group are also members of the pinkies Yahoo! Group, but the contents of this group and the emails which are posted to it are strictly business related. All the fun stuff goes to the pinkies Yahoo! Group!

pinkies-exec Yahoo! Group

This group used by The Pink Singers' executive commitee and only elected members can join this group.

How do I join one of the groups?

If you wish to subscribe to email alerts for future events, then it is easier to allow us to contact you. Just fill in the on-line form.

If you are a new member and wish to join the Pinkies Yahoo! Group then it is also easier to get in touch with the new members' rep. by filling in this on-line form

If you are a singing member and wish to get on the pinkies-choir Yahoo! Group, then please get in touch with your section leader who will add you to the list directly.

If you really want to do join a group manually (and are a sucker for punishment) then follow the steps below.

Step 1: Set Up A Yahoo! ID

If you already have a Yahoo! ID, sign in and proceed to step 2.

If not, visit the home page and register.

Step 2: Select your Yahoo! Group

Click on the Yahoo! Group page that you want to join.

Click on the 'Join This Group' button and follow the instructions on the Yahoo! Groups website.
Please remember to include your real name (if it is not the same as your email address) in your 'Comment To Group Owner'.
This is so we can identify new members.

How do I unsubscribe from a group?

Web Method

Log on to the Yahoo! Groups home page.
Select My Groups > Edit My Groups
In the list of groups, check the box next to the group you want to remove, then save the changes.

Email Client Method

If you use a stand-alone mail program, create a new email and type the following into the "To:" field:

groupName-unsubscribe @ yahoogroups.com
(eg: pinkies-unsubscribe @ yahoogroups.com)
