We’re looking for some enthusiastic people to join our board of trustees. As you may know if you’ve been involved with the choir, it takes a huge amount of volunteer time and energy to keep the organisation running fabulously! Our trustee roles are an excellent way to get involved if you can’t or don’t want to sing to be a part of our family.
Our trustee board focuses on the longer term issues for the choir and brings external perspectives and expertise to help us have a greater impact as singers and as a charity. We make sure that we follow all the legal requirements of being a charity, and that we’re financially sustainable. And we ensure that we’re meeting our charitable objectives to spread the love of music among the LGBTQ+ community and raise awareness of issues affecting us.
We have a brand new strategy to 2030 and the choir has had huge success in recent times, including supporting Coldplay in their UK tour in Hull and at Wembley in 2025, and winning the Bronze award in the Best History Podcast category at the British Podcast Awards 2025 for our podcast Sing It Pink about the history of the choir. Our trustee board has a wide set of skills including charity leadership, recruitment, arts sector so we’re looking to add to this with new skills and experience. We are also looking for a specialist Finance Trustee.
