One month until Notes from a Small Island!

A month today we’ll be on stage at Hackney Empire performing the best of British composers and songwriters for your delectation, joined by the wonderful South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus and Citi Choir.
We’re so excited that, yes, like last autumn, we got a bit excited and made another silly trailer. Here it is for your enjoyment.

In 1983 a group of gay and lesbian Londoners gathered in Oval House and, under the guidance of Mark Bunyan and Brian Kennedy, sang a few songs together. They would never have thought that three decades on, the Pink Singers would not only still be around, but bigger and better than ever! In 2013, let’s celebrate 30 years of London’s LGBT community choir. It is going to be great!

Putting Razzle Dazzle — our summer concert — together was no easy task. This season we decided to celebrate musical icons of the gay and lesbian community. We thought that since we are an LGBT choir it would be easy getting suggestions from the Pinkies. Little did we know that we would be inundated with repertoire ideas, and it surprised even us just how broad the range and quality of music was.
